Interactors Build Hygiene Kits

The Streetsville Interact Club is a high school service club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mississauga Streetsville and operating out of the Streetsville Secondary School.

Among their many exciting projects is their work to  raise funds and build hygiene kits for a local youth shelter called “Our Place Peel”, which they have committed to for the past five years.

“Our Place Peel” supports the most vulnerable young people in the Peel Region and when youths arrive at the shelter, employees like to welcome them with a personalized hygiene kit. The students at Streetsville Secondary feel connected to this program; firstly because they are young people living in Mississauga, and secondly because they have seen what some of their classmates go through and how they relied to the help of community services such as this. . In this last school year, the club built over 80 kits to be sent for supporting other young people in Mississauga.
