On Thursday January 18, we had a successful fundraising dinner where funds raised were directed towards helping build a sanitary water source for the Zabaleen community school, a marginalized community located in Cairo, Egypt.
The event helped us reach the finish line in meeting the pledged amount. The project was a collaboration between the 4 Rotary Clubs in Mississauga and the Brampton Rotary Club. All funds raised will be matched by District 7080 and the Rotary Foundation.
