Armagh House, a second stage women shelter, has been one of our special beneficiaries for years. Having supported the house complete multiple projects in the past, we were excited to continue to support them during the recent expansion project to double their capacity.
Given the growing need, Armagh house has been turning down many requests for help. This is why a couple of years ago, they took on the project of expanding their facilities to accommodate more vulnerable women and help give them a second chance at life. As always, the Streetsville Rotary was happy to help; whether through supporting the Coldest Night of The Year (CNOY) initiative, supporting the construction project itself, or supplying a basketball net so that the children in the facility can continue to play while the parking lot is occupied by the construction equipment.
Our team was delighted to participate in the grand opening of the expansion project, and to see the Streetsville Rotary plaque placed outside the Support Office.
